Living and growing up in the northwestern portion of the US on farms in Washington and Idaho gave Calvin vast and diverse areas of experience early in life. He has added to those experiences throughout the years while spending time in the US Air Force, working in manufacturing, and in his career as a computer programmer. His programming career took him into project management and computer operations. He is fond of saying that working with computers is like raising two-year-old’s.

Oddly enough for a writer, he struggled in English and History while in school. Over the years, he has made it a point to learn as much as he can to improve his writing. He continuously works on learning all that he can about the proper use of grammar. From time to time, it appalls him that many writers today do not use proper grammar in their writing. He would be the first to tell you he is still learning and will probably continue to learn to the very end of his life.
